The Happiest Homecoming on Earth!! Disneyland First Day Ticket Jumbo pin - LE 1500 ONE ONLY !!!!!

On July 17, 1955, Disneyland® welcomed its first Guests through its gates. An "invitation only ticket" was given to a select group of celebrities, dignitaries and the press to enjoy the Park prior to its public day opening.

To commemorate the opening date to the Public on July 18, 1955, Disney have created a beautifully detailed Jumbo pin depicting the first general admission ticket sold. General admission at the time was $1.00 for adults and $.50 for kids. Once inside, Guests could purchase individual tickets from a ticket booth in front of each attraction.

Do you know which individual bought Disneyland® Park's first general admission ticket for its public opening on July 18, 1955? The answer is inside the box created for this pin!!!

This pin was designed by Artist Lin Shih from Disney Design Group. It measures approximately 2.75" wide by 2.75" tall.

The pin is mostly red with intricate gold trim. A golden Sleeping Beauty Castle is at the top with "50" and "Disneyland". Towards the bottom is a golden Mickey head in a circle. Under that is "1st Day Ticket, July 18 1955". The beige colored ticket in the center has the Castle on the left side with "EST. PRICE 91c", "FED. TAX 9c", "$1.00 TOTAL". In the center is "Disneyland" under that is "ADULT 2" under that is "ADMIT ONE" and then "000001" is at the bottom.

Limited to two pins per Registered Event Guest through the Event Random Selection Process (RSP). Remaining quantities were distributed to DL Resort locations in limited supply for the event. Remaining edition was available at the Resort on July 17.

THIS IS TRULY MAGNIFICENT !!!!!

Released as part of Disneyland Resorts Pin Trading Nights, this 5" wide by 4.5" tall jumbo pin showcases Sleeping Beauty's Castle arrayed in celebration of Disneyland's Happiest Homecoming on Earth.

The multilayed pin features a light colored castle, trimmed in lots of bright blue and gold, highlighted against a purple pastel sky. The castle walls are also trimmed with several purple jewels, as is the large gold frame with surrounds the pin. Above the castle drawbridge and gate is a mouse head crest with a gold "50" in recognition of Disneyland's golden year, as well as "Disneyland" on a small gold banner directly below.

Pin release was to be 1500, but due to a very poorly organized sale, with hours-long lines, and many of the pins being returned with minor to major flaws and defects, it is doubtful the actual release was anywhere near that number.

This Limited Edition, gold finshed pin features Minnie Mouse and celebrates Valentine's Day 2005. There is a large red heart in the background, which is flocked. Minnie is standing on the left with her hands clasped at her face. She wears a pink dress. Pin reads "Valentine's Day" in red and "81 Days to Go" in yellow. "81 Days to Go" refers to the worldwide kick off of Disneyland's 50th Anniversary celebration.

Disneyland 50th Anniversary - Cast Member Gift pin - 1955-2005 - HARD TO FIND !!!

This pin was mailed out to Disney Cast Members in the Disney Company's Annual Report in January 2005.

The pin has the Disneyland Castle with a big blue 50 on it and a banner that reads: Disneyland, 1955-2005. The report insert read: "Also enclosed is a special pin designed exclusively for Cast Members and employees to commemorate the upcoming milestone of the 50th anniversary of Disneyland."

The pin measures approx. 1" x 1 1/4".

WDW - Happiest Celebration on Earth - Cast Member pin

Beautifully detailed, raised 3D pin - This pin was given to WDW Cast Members in commemoration of the Happiest Celebration on Earth on 5 May 2005.

Cast Members were permitted to wear this pin from Sunday, May 15 through Saturday, May 21 as an approved pin to be worn on the costume.

Given to Cast Members on a card from Al Weiss, President of WDW Resort that said:

'Thank you for making the Happiest Celebration on Earth a Magical Experience for our Guests'.

Pin says: 'Walt Disney World - Happiest Celebration on Earth'. The castle is in a very eleaborate 3D design.

WOW !! Disneyland's 50th - Small Castle - Press Pin !!!

This pin was given to Media in attendance at the Press Event for Candlelight 2004 at Disneyland. This pin is similar to an open edition 50 Castle pin, however it is much smaller. Also, it is not all gold like the other press pin, it is in different shades of gold / tan cloisonne.

This pin is approx 1" high X 7/8" wide - RARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hong Kong Disneyland - Jumbo Castle Window in 'Stained Glass' - Happiest Celebration on Earth LE 750 (Release date 29 June 2005) *

Created especially for the Happiest Celebration On Earth, this Limited Edition 750 Jumbo Pin was inspired by a 'window' in front of Cinderella Castle, premiering during the Happiest Celebration on Earth. This window, found in the Magic Kingdom® Park, gives Guests a unique view of Disney Theme Parks Castles from around the world. Each pin was designed by Disney Design Group Artist Linda Flynn.

This Jumbo Pin celebrates Sleeping Beauty Castle located at Hong Kong Disneyland. This Disney Destination will open on September 12, 2005. The pin features a stained glass effect and is packaged in a beautiful blue window box.

This pin will be released at WDW on 29 June, in a Limited Edition of just 750 STUNNING Jumbo pins.
